Eva is a beautiful German shepherd puppy who came into my life on May 30th, 2008. She loves squeaky toys, frisbees, belly rubs, playing in sand and water, and of course, treats. She recently graduated from puppy kindergarten and I have future plans to continue her in obedience and possibly enroll her in agility.

I am a young adult with Asperger syndrome and although I attend university, I have few friends outside of my close-knit family. Having a best friend who loves me unconditionally has been excellent for me.

Total Revamp

Look for a new revamp of this page in the next few weeks. I am no longer affiliated with facebook so I am going to move my photo albums and videos elsewhere. I may pay for a subsciption to onetruemedia or I may decide to go with something else. I'm also going to give the layout a complete overhaul.

Update: More pics coming soon

Eva is starting to play with the puppy (very gently) as well as Maggie. All three of them were playing in the snow this morning.

Showing off the girls

I'm sharing some pictures and videos of the girls. I am posting them here rather than emailing them out because they are large files. Anyone who loves or takes an interest in my girls can enjoy these here. Unlike my Asperger Syndrome site which has lots of traffic, this site is mostly visited by people who know my dogs, or at least know me, in person. :)

On track...

Eva is scheduled to start obedience on June 6th. She will go into beginner even though she knows most of the commands because her social skills with other dogs need work. She has her one-year vaccine on May 21st.

More Updates

Annie is just starting to show affection towards humans rather than the other dogs. She's now coming to us to be petted, playing with us, and being very cute. I know seven weeks is around the age dogs change the focus from dogs to humans.

Eva starts obedience June 6th. The tranier is familiar with and loves German Shepherds. She told us Eva's jumping that she's been doing lately is part of the adolescent phase in big dogs. She is testing who's the leader. Eva is 14 months now. The silliness should settle down (with proper training) around age 2. Another good thing is I don't drive and it's a half hour walk to the class, so Eva will have some of her energy burnt off before class.

We're continuing to work with Maggie with hand signals and also positive reinforcement for going to the bathroom outside. She is leashed to me for the next week or so. It's interesting leading Maggie around and following the puppy. Eva still gets lots of ball games too.

Update on the Girls

I got some pics and videos to upload later, but I'm busy chasing after the girls right now.

Annie is getting along well with the other dogs. Maggie likes to play with her. Eva sometimes even shares her toys.

Maggie is still working on housetraining. We believe she may have some hearing issues, because she doesn't usually respons to voices unless give visual feedback. Thderefore, I have her on a leash in the house with me take her outside frequently with lots of physical praise (petting) for peeing and pooing outside.

Annie is little, so it will be a while before she is fully housetrained. For now, when I catch her squatting, I say "eh eh eh!" and take her promptly outside. She already knows how to sit for treats.

Plans for revision

A lot of things have changed since I started this site a year ago. This blog is going to be undergoing major layout changes within the next few weeks. Also, I promise I will get the photo album links working again.

A Loved One's Message

Go on and finish
I am at the end of your journey
Think about me But smile when you do
I am not gone Just absent from this dimension.
I still exist
I now know only what is good
Where I am
I can still feel the warmth of the sun
I can still feel the grass under my feet
I can still see you
And your love
But you can’t still see me
But you can still feel my love
Love is one sense that is interdimensional
Even when all other five senses can’t open the door
Love is the sixth and it can open any door
But maybe it’s best to forget that I’m gone
When comparing the short time we spend on earth
To eternal living where I am
It won’t be long before we’re together again.
Remember this and you won’t be sad
Go ahead and explore the world
Live a wonderful life.
I am right there ahead of you
Waiting for you when you finish
